Currently in a course im doing I have to do some blind sketches exploring the idea of how people engage and inhabit space so here are some of them that I think have really interesting colour shape and qualities.

Intro and Review of Design 111 project

Hi I'm Sam and I’m studying design at Victoria University. My favourite project for Design 111 was number 2, the joint, in April 2008. I liked this project for its simplicity and engaging nature I was given the elbow joint and three objects to abstract into a new joint. I chose to use a cube and developed it into a smooth card object with a slot in the centre that allowed it to move through a wire track. I looked at materiality and decided to use acrylic for the final model so that the hidden slot was visible. It was this detail that made my final product a good engaging solution to the brief.

Review of online networking

In our class we had a tutor group that we were to make an online network with. I found the experience in an online Network kind of interesting because it was an artificial way to connect but I could see that it related to getting my name out there into the world. I looked at other peoples blogs and found some really interesting so I tried to comment as objectively as possible. I found that two in particular had a really good overall blogs, Amy Chang and Sarah Croft have communicated their ideas really well in a simple format. In Amy's Blog the composite image was really well thought out, positioned and related to the vlog she posted creating a good thematic display. Sarah had a really catchy idea for a product that kept my attention and made me interested to see the end product. Overall I found that the blogs were interesting because they were eye catching and had posts that kept my interest.

Hi I'm back again with some of my favourite blogs from my classmates. Firstly Amy chang's blog which has an interesting composite image and nice layout. Next was a really good design Idea and photo from Sarah croft talking about a personal satalite. Lastly Blair Ewing's blog had a really powerful design for the fluid form project and an exellent photo to boot.

Next was a really good furniture blog with fantastic designs and blurbs about the projects. Lastly a product based blog which shows a wide range of designs with stunning visuals.
